About Us
Welcome to Infinity Science Press.
Established in January 2006, Infinity Science Press is a privately held book publisher, specializing in the areas of engineering, mathematics, physics, and business. Our titles are designed primarily for the educational and professional/reference markets.
As a content provider for the educational and information needs of prospective and practicing engineers, mathematicians, physicists, and business professionals, Infinity Science Press will release its first ten titles in 2006. Our worldwide distribution includes domestic and international universities, wholesalers, independent retailers and chain stores, Internet/WWW retailers, e-book vendors, book clubs, as well as corporate, public, and academic libraries. The corporate office is located in Hingham, Massachusetts (south of Boston) with warehouse facilities in Virginia.
Our 2006 offerings will begin in July and include books on digital signal processing, physics for engineers, computational science, engineering mathematics, and petroleum engineering.
The president and founder, David Pallai, is a Yale graduate with 30 years of successful publishing experience. In 1994 he founded a publisher of computer science books, Charles River Media (sold to Thomson Learning in July, 2005). Previously, he held key positions with Academic Press and Addison-Wesley.
Our goal is to prove that a small publisher can offer its authors the attention and focus they require in terms of the development, production, and promotion of their titles; and for our customers, that we can offer the high quality, cutting-edge research and content that larger publishers must often sacrifice in order to attain sales projections and profit margins.
The cutaway of the nautilus shell in our logo represents the concept of infinity. Euclid, Fibonacci, and others used the spiral of the nautilus to demonstrate the existence of "infinity," a term that has connotations in all of the disciplines in which we publish.
We appreciate your interest in Infinity Science Press and hope you will contact us with your suggestions and comments.
